What frosts my ass is the way the media treats them both as serious candidates.

5. Bachman can't. Perry could. And the media treats Bachmann far differently
than it treats Perry. You really think that Newsweek cover was depicting a serious candidate?

6. I would not be surprised to see Perry win the nomination. He has that
persona that's going to suit the uninformed voters, the Bush lovers and the like. He fits the American retrograde appeal for some, a stupid good looking manly man president, with a religious fervor added and good hair.

An authoritarian that will appease the flocks, lambs and Lemmings. The Stupid of America, and damn proud of it ... And will also kick the fagots around, that will appease some all by itself, such a sick country we have turned into.

8. Primary, yes
General election NO, unless of course democrats stay home and don't bother to get out to vote. If that happens you might as well bend over and kiss your butt goodbye because this country will in deep you know what!

If democrats get out and vote the republicans don't stand a chance! They are all a bunch of clowns, and we don't need clowns in the WH.

9. George w. Bush was treated as a serious candidate twice...
and that chaps my ass.

He won.

Don't kid yourself, they can run and they can win. Some cheating will be involved, but not even as much as most people would think. They only need to cheat in a few places, in a few states, especially if it is a close election.

It appears that hot topic in this election is going to be Jobs, and Obama doesn't have that much to say in that arena. Also, people are angry and frightened of the piss poor economy, at President Obama and Congress. Since they will not see some dude name Congress to vote against, there will be a lot of Anger at Obama as the symbol of everything that is wrong.

This is going to be a very tough election, and it won't matter who the republicans put up. The abysmal economy they created is on their side because Obama is the visible symbol at the top.

are dominonist. They believe that this country should be run like Religion at the head of the government.

their controllers might steal it for them.

13. If either wins the nomination all bets are off.
In the Republican world the way I see it there's no way Bachmann gets the nomination. Wealthy Republicans are never going to trust her with their money. She's a loose cannon, probably on pills and self-absorbed enough to think she'll actually be in charge as president.

All it's going to take is a few days of Fox news making fun of her before she goes the way of Mike Huckabee in 2008.

Perry is good looking, dumb cowboy with lots of charisma who is just in it for the attention and will do as the bright people in his party tell him. He's almost Reaganesque.

IMO the Republicans will rally around him and he's got a good shot at winning it all.

He's just dumb enough to appeal to his base and just smart enough to run an effective campaign.

15. Perry should be taken seriously. Yesterday a talking head made a
very good point, he's the only GOP candidate that excites all three key constituencies of the GOP base - the teabaggers, the evangelicals and the monied interests.

No way that lightweight would stand up to heavy questioning or media scrutiny...and see what we got.

If Democrats stay demoralized or "punish" the party anything is possible...
