Description: Since at least the 1950s men have been the rod of life and women have been the vessel. This incredible retard procedure reverses that tradition and plays on every man and woman's love of the miracle of birth. Science has not yet devised a way to implant a human fetus into a man, but nature has provided every man with a happy home for incubating chicks. A little cutting, some excision, and the installation of a "birth aperture" in the scrotum and you can be the proud papa of your very own cheeping babies. Also works with a surprisingly large variety of incubating insects and some types of amphibians.

You Will Need: Marker, one surgical steel scalpel, alcohol, cotton swabs, vaginal or anal speculum, one surgical steel pipe join, two rolls sterile gauze, 2-4 fertilized chicken eggs, boiled cedar shavings, cosmetic mirror, suturing material.

Do It Yourself Procedure: Shave your scrotum carefully beforehand! Position all materials needed within easy reach and place the mirror just in front of your genitals so that you have a clear view of your scrotum. Grasp your penis between the thumb and forefinger of your off hand and lift it towards your stomach so that your scrotum is protruding. Use the marker to draw an incision guide four inches long. Start an inch or so past your taint and run the line up towards your penis. Apply alcohol (and iodine solution if you have it) thoroughly to the scrotum.

Begin the incision starting closest to your penis and cutting down and away from you. Make a single determined cut if at all possible. The incision does not have to be deep, but the cutting will be deliciously painful and you have to avoid ejaculating all over the sterile operating area. Once you have finished, use the speculum to open the incision. Don't worry if the spreader armatures catch on your testicles and tear them; you will be removing them shortly.

Ignorance and courage in the age of Lady Gaga

If you hang out much with thinking people, conversation eventually turns to the serious political and cultural questions of our times. Such as: How can the Americans remain so consistently brain-fucked? Much of the world, including plenty of Americans, asks that question as they watch U.S. culture go down like a thrashing mastodon giving itself up to some Pleistocene tar pit.

One explanation might be the effect of 40 years of deep fried industrial chicken pulp, and 44 ounce Big Gulp soft drinks. Another might be pop culture, which is not culture at all of course, but marketing. Or we could blame it on digital autism: Ever watch commuter monkeys on the subway poking at digital devices, stroking the touch screen for hours on end? That wrinkled Neolithic brows above the squinting red eyes? But a more reasonable explanation is that, (A) we don't even know we are doing it, and (B) we cling to institutions dedicated to making sure we never find out.

Two hundred years ago no one would have thought sheer volume of available facts in the digital information age would produce informed Americans. Founders of the republic, steeped in the Enlightenment as they were, and believers in an informed citizenry being vital to freedom and democracy, would be delirious with joy at the prospect. Imagine Jefferson and Franklin high on Google.

The fatal assumption was that Americans would choose to think and learn, instead of cherry picking the blogs and TV channels to reinforce their particular branded choice cultural ignorance, consumer, scientific or political, but especially political. Tom and Ben could never have guessed we would chase prepackaged spectacle, junk science, and titillating rumor such as death panels, Obama as a socialist Muslim and Biblical proof that Adam and Eve rode dinosaurs around Eden. In a nation that equates democracy with everyman's right to an opinion, no matter how ridiculous, this was probably inevitable. After all, dumb people choose dumb stuff. That's why they are called dumb.

But throw in sixty years of television's mind puddling effects, and you end up with 24 million Americans watching Bristol Palin thrashing around on Dancing with the Stars, then watch her being interviewed with all seriousness on the networks as major news. The inescapable conclusion of half of heartland America is that her mama must certainly be presidential material, even if Bristol cannot dance. It ain't a pretty picture out there in Chattanooga and Keokuk.

The AMA guidelines prohibit a doctor from treating an immediate family member. It can interfere with job performance. Personally I would consider an in-law to be an immediate family member although I don't know if the AMA does specifically.

Opinion 8.19 - Self-Treatment or Treatment of Immediate Family Members

Physicians generally should not treat themselves or members of their immediate families. Professional objectivity may be compromised when an immediate family member or the physician is the patient; the physician’s personal feelings may unduly influence his or her professional medical judgment, thereby interfering with the care being delivered. Physicians may fail to probe sensitive areas when taking the medical history or may fail to perform intimate parts of the physical examination. Similarly, patients may feel uncomfortable disclosing sensitive information or undergoing an intimate examination when the physician is an immediate family member. This discomfort is particularly the case when the patient is a minor child, and sensitive or intimate care should especially be avoided for such patients. When treating themselves or immediate family members, physicians may be inclined to treat problems that are beyond their expertise or training. If tensions develop in a physician’s professional relationship with a family member, perhaps as a result of a negative medical outcome, such difficulties may be carried over into the family member’s personal relationship with the physician.

Concerns regarding patient autonomy and informed consent are also relevant when physicians attempt to treat members of their immediate family. Family members may be reluctant to state their preference for another physician or decline a recommendation for fear of offending the physician. In particular, minor children will generally not feel free to refuse care from their parents. Likewise, physicians may feel obligated to provide care to immediate family members even if they feel uncomfortable providing care.

It would not always be inappropriate to undertake self-treatment or treatment of immediate family members. In emergency settings or isolated settings where there is no other qualified physician available, physicians should not hesitate to treat themselves or family members until another physician becomes available. In addition, while physicians should not serve as a primary or regular care provider for immediate family members, there are situations in which routine care is acceptable for short-term, minor problems. Except in emergencies, it is not appropriate for physicians to write prescriptions for controlled substances for themselves or immediate family members. (I, II, IV)

No doubt there are some far right whack jobs who might have been willing to support Perry who would equate this abortion, but for normal people it's ho-hum. I had a vascetomy about 24 years ago. So Rick Perry has had one, too. Big deal.
