What is all this--Repeal Sarbanes-Oxley, Repeal Dobbs-Frank?
This seems to be a Mantra among the Republicans??

Sarbanes-Oxley was created to prevent a repeat of
Enron, Anderson, all those companies that were
falling like flies in 2000.

We know Dobbs-Frank is designed to prevent o
reapeat of the GREAT FINANCIAL CRISES, we are
still suffering.

Why would they want all these things to happen
all over again.

It was even mentioned in the Debate this evening.

1. It's a signal to the Tea Party of what to take hostage next.

4. Wait, wait, it's Dodd-Frank.
Named for Chris Dodd (now retired from the Senate) and Barney Frank (still in the House).

Getting back to the topic of your thread, I've noticed the spiteful, destructive angle of GOP rhetoric (e.g., the many promises to repeal "Obamacare," to which journalists really ought to say: "So you want people to be uninsurable due to pre-existing conditions? Bankrupted?").

The other element at play is removing regulations (Gutting of regulations, like cutting taxes, is a GOP cure for everything) and fighting consumer protection, freedom to organize, etc.

The threat against Sarbanes-Oxley was one I hadn't heard of late.

5. You are surprised ?
The evil bastards will stop at nothing until ANY bit of reasonable legislation that somehow aids the commons while fairly taxing the ultra rich is repealed ....

You didn't know these assholes would do something like this ? .... Surely you knew ...

6. They are just thinking
what they are told to think. It's their version of "free will".
