3. Ed had the audacity to point out that Obama has been
MIA in Wisconsin, and the usual suspects have thrown Ed under the bus. Musn't tell the truth, especially when it hurts.

6. if all or any of the candidates
had ASKED him to come, I would agree that he should have been there. But, please keep in mind that these were all in heavily Republican areas, so maybe the candidates realized that his presence might just do more harm than good.

7. He didn't have to set foot in Wisconsin in order to support them.
He could have used the Bully Pulpit and that rousing rhetoric he's so well known for.

8. Again...

If any of the candidates had ASKED for an endorsement, I'm sure they would have gotten one. The "Bully Pulpit" does not work on deeply ingrained Republicans, and could actually have done more harm than good. It has nothing to do with actually being IN Wisconsin.

I'm quote sure that, if he had done what you are suggesting, it would now be his fault for not staying away form a situation in which he was not invited, rather than being his fault for not sticking his nose in where he was not invited.

2. He didn't have any problem going there when he was
looking for votes, but he sure has been missing in action when the Dems and the unions(that he promised in '08 to be there for) need him the most. Who could have seen that coming-Obama not keeping a campaign promise. Big Eddie isn't the dumb one here.
