2. We got our work cut out for us, don't we?
I'm sure the Koch Brothers are taking notes as we speak.

As I said elsewhere, I just don't want to wake up the day after
election 2012 to a nightmare......cause I've already done that, been there,
with election 2000, and it didn't matter how much one thought about all of the
coulda/woulda/shoulda, or the blame game that would ensue,
as none of those things can turn back the results once an election is called....
and 2 years, and 4 years, and 8 years is a mighty, mighty long time,
and causes that really affect us dearly would be flushed straight down the toilet
and that would be that. That's why I never believed that trashing the President or
most Democrats for that matter unmercifully 24/7 was something that helps us, the people,
in a long run.

The folks that lose, well, they kinda of disappear or gone on with their lives,
but we are the ones who have to live through the aftermath. :(

8. We agree on this
For me, this is no longer about Obama. We need to fight to put the House and Senate back in the hands of Democrats. Then we need to figure out how to teach them to be a majority party, since they didn't really get it in 2008. But I'll take incompetence over sheer, unadulterated evil.

4. Chump change to the big boys, aquart.
And it prolly MADE them more than that in the long run, 'cause now they own the law.

5. How much difference will it make since we'll have a Republican president.
Even if Obama wins.

He's proven that he thinks the Republicans are right on economic matters.
The super rich should own and control all the cash in America and everyone else should fend for themselves without government assistance.

6. Voting is not enough
Anyone who believes that the electoral process is the sole path to freedom and democracy will inevitably lose both freedom and democracy. If you truly love America, folks, voting is not enough.
It's time to start a grassroots VINE movement in America (Voting Is Not Enough). We must get the rest of our citizens to understand that ownership of democracy involves a lot more than filling out a ballot every once in a while. It will always be easy to rig the game so long as most people believe that its a game. Our freedom is not a game.

9. Wow, I don't know if you can post a new thread being so new here,
but that is a worthy topic in and of, itself.

BTW, we're trying desperately to figure out how not to die, with or without the boots on. That said, if all that is left is the fall, it really does matter how one falls.

Welcome to DU. You've come at a very hard time for us, but if we can make it through 8 years of the shrub, I think we'll make it through this too.
