It amazes me, that the easiest money savings plan in the world is ending these damn wars!

My GOP friends think the wars are stupid and a waste of time. My GOP friend said "If we leave now or 10 years from now, nothing is going to change!"

$2 billion dollars a week. What a waste!

1. This latest helicopter event ought to be a warning. They were
able to snuff 2 dozen of the best warriors basically for free. It's bound to get worse, not better.

you have no idea what a concession that is for him.

he still can't actually say i was right, though.

he thinks it's all part of the eternal biblical war between the jews & the caananites, though.

7. Envision the GOP as the anti-war party. Now that would be a scary thought.
A real Bizarro World.

8. The American People need to ask themselves a couple of questions:
1. Should the the random whims of the President decide which issues justify the sacrifice of our sons, daughters and assets?

2. Or should we abide by the Constitution, which delegates the power to declare war, to the American People's representatives?

I believe the power to declare war was vested in the Congress to ensure a rational contemplation of the grievances, as well as the projected cost of lives and resources of the People.

Regrettably, the legitimate process of declaring war has been disregarded and as a result, we have engaged in a number of wars against nations that did not attack us. Ultimately, Americans blame the thousands of lives wasted and trillions of $$$ borrowed and squandered on the President. However, the President is not authorized to initiate wars, his job is to command the troops, after Congress has made that decision.

However, Congress has hidden behind the War Powers Resolution for nearly 40 years. It allows them to skate by under the radar and if things get too hot, they can elude the blame and leave the President standing alone. The American system of checks and balances was designed to prohibit the very thing that the War Powers Act allows.

Regrettably, too many of the American People are ignorant with respect to our legal processes. Until they figure it out, the rest of us can only watch and hope.

Ask them if they liked war back then? I bet they did. Hope the assholes got their monies worth.

10. How many of them were the types who said
"You can't leave Iraq because it will cause a massive power vacuum and the terrorists will win!"

(only because it was Obama saying we need to get out ...)
