This means the USA will not be the head of the pecking order. Accept it, America.

It has been a long time coming.

The story I am referring to, of course, is this:

G-7 Leaders Discuss Debt Crisis After U.S. Credit Downgrade

FRANKFURT, Germany — The European Central Bank held an emergency telephone conference Sunday on how to fend off financial collapse in Italy while officials from rich and developing countries looked for ways to stabilize markets when they reopen after the U.S credit-rating downgrade.

The intense activity on an August weekend underscored how heavy levels of government debt on both sides of the Atlantic have rattled financial markets – and sharpened fears that the global recovery from the 2007-2009 financial crisis could be derailed.

A eurozone official told The Associated Press that central bank officials were to discuss possible purchases of Italian government bonds – a risky move but one that could help drive down bond interest yields that are threatening the heavily indebted country's finances.

The official declined to be identified without authorization to discuss the meeting. A spokeswoman for the ECB declined to comment.

Accept this and move on. Yeah, you can be like Germany when this happened and escalate into a full out World War/Race War and kill us all.

Or you can do like France did after Algeria and Dien Bien Phu and accept it and move on.

Yes, I know these are radically different events. Do not think I do not.

But - they are moments where the man on top has to step down, for the good of everyone, or take out everyone in a blaze of glory.

And by 'blaze of glory' I mean end of "Devil's Rejects" blaze of glory. Everyone dies. Fuck that.

End the empire, and move on.

Close bases in Scotland, Germany and Okinawa. Close bases anywhere except US Territorial land except Afghanistan, Iraq and South Korea. Hell, get COMPLETELY out of Iraq. And work on getting out of the last two.

Sell a few Predator Drones to the folks who are paranoid out there, and move on.

Save us $1 Trillion at least.

Then maybe we can avoid a breakup and insolvency.
