securities on behalf of Wall Street investment firms. FUCK THEM!

Bernie Sanders
Sen. Sanders on S&P downgrade: I find it interesting to see S&P so vigilant today in downgrading the US credit rating. Where were they 4 years ago when they, and other credit rating agencies, helped cause this horrendous recession by providing AAA ratings to worthless sub-prime mortgage securities on behalf of Wall Street investment firms? Where were they last December when Congress and the White House drove up the national debt by $700 billion by extending Bush's tax breaks for the rich?

IMO what the S&P says and its ratings are about as valid as Fox news.

1. Yup! Why did they not downgrade the AAA earlier due to subprime mortgages? They could have stopped

Sen. Sanders has nailed it. Where was the S&P when they were handing out AAA rating to sub-prime mortgage securities and when the White House extended the Bush tax cuts? How about in bed with G. W. Bush et al.?

:kick:

5. Warren Buffet had some some choice comments on the downgrade as well.
'Pardon me for asking, but who gave Standard & Poor’s the authority to tell America how much debt it has to shed, and how ?

If we pay our bills, we’re a good credit risk. If we don’t, or aren’t likely to, we’re a bad credit risk. When, how, and by how much we bring down the long term debt - or, more accurately, the ratio of debt to GDP - is none of S&P’s business'.

Screw S&P.

7. Who gave S&P the authority?
The person who decided not to prosecute them in the first place.

8. 55 Water St. NYC
Seems like a great place to start with the pitchforks and torches.
A short walk away is 200 West St, headquarters of the notorious Goldman Sachs group.
Finally, the NYSE at 11 Wall.
By any reasonable standard, these streets should be absolutely clogged with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of angry American citizens.
My only question would be: When do they start shooting us?

9. water cannons and those ear piercing
sonic-boom-type machines. Oh- and rubber bullets. They will be well protected.

I wonder if the Oct. 6th movement is happening in NYC too? I know it's an anti-war movement but it could turn into something even bigger.
