Look around you, they're doing it in a way that doesn't even require them to BE in total control. All the they have to do is LEGITIMIZE their policies and make them CONSIDERABLE.

Then they leave it to the people to do the rest. Why slit someone's throat, when you can get them to do your dirty work for you?

Tough to tell them to keep fighting to keep a house in order while they feel they're sitting outside of it. Telling people that they keep "falling for it", whether true or not, isn't going to make them feel any more welcome.

20 years ago my positions were considered moderate (politics wise, you already know my taste in music lol). Not a single one of those positions has changed in the slightest bit in that time, yet now I'm considered among the "fringe" elements of the Party. What's changed if I didn't?
