Next: The Gas Tax
Heard a few minutes of Randi Rhodes in the car. Now that the Republicans didn't get to cave the country (and Cantor didn't make a wad on shorting or whatever - my comment), they've let the FAA go unfunded putting 4,000 + FAA employees and over 70,000 construction workers on furlough.

She believes it's part of their dastardly plan to get the entire country NOT working so they can make SURE Obama doesn't win reelection.

So, next the gas tax, so no road work will be funded - more pawns furloughed.

She made the point, which we all know, that now that the airlines don't have to pay the taxes to the government, they are NOT passing the savings on to us. We need to make an even bigger deal out of this.

I'm not sure what actually happened, except the FAA has been "funded" by votes like these since 2007, that this time around it was the Republican House(?) in some anti-union move with resulted in the situation.

If anyone could explain the situation to me I'd be extremely appreciative, and, what do you think about her gas tax theory?
