Soldiers force protesters from Egypt’s Tahrir Square
RawReplay
By Stephen C. Webster

With less than two days before former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak is to stand trial, Egypt’s military has forcibly cleared Cairo’s Tahrir Square of protesters.

The square was emptied today by soldiers supported by tanks, and there were numerous reports of protesters being taken into military custody. Democracy supporters had been in Tahrir Square for the last three weeks.

This video is from Al Jazeera, broadcast Monday, Aug. 1, 2011
