before they're voted upon. Oh wait...

Seriously though, as many Reps and Senators said last night, they need to see what was agreed upon by the key players before deciding how to vote. The main cuts in the first part of this are said to be generally from discretionary spending, so part from Pentagon (maybe 300 billion?) and the rest from domestic programs (maybe 600 billion?). I'm really tired, but I think these are somewhat accurate.

The details are being kept hush-hush cause both sides know there's stuff inside that their bases will not like and they can't afford to have some last minute rear-guard revolt. The numbers are 61 and 218...that's all that matters and whatever it takes to get it is how this game is played.
