The Best of Times - for Liberals!

Ya know, we are all looking at the times we live in the wrong way. This is indeed, the best of times for we Libs.

First, we have finally become - an ELITE! Most of us wanted it that way all our lives, and now we are. I remember being asked as a college freshman what I wanted to be, and I answered "President of the USA." (BTW? It didn't happen, in case you are wondering) But I always wanted to be a head tuna, of some kind. And now, I am, as are we all! Republicans and Obamistas and most Dems agree: we are the ELITE! Oh, they call us shrill and other names, it's true. But we have finally made it to the place we imagined reading sci fi in the 50's, marching in the 60's, smoking pot and marching in the 70's and on and on. We are not nerds, or jerkwads - We are the ELITE, BABY!

Second, we have become prophets! Each and every time for the last 20 years are so, we predicted with amazing accuracy what would happen to the US under: Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush the Lesser, and Obama! Wars, catastrophes, economic collapses, the environment destroyed - my god, what group since time began has ever been so RIGHT (as in "correct")? Oh yes, no once accepts it, from the Pres-o-rama on down. But can you imagine how history (if there is any) will look at us? "Despite the warning of the LIBERAL ELITE (shivers down my backbone), and their prescient predictions, the world collapsed around them. How much better would humanity have been, if the world had only listened to these brilliant people?" Sad, tho, as Jesus said "a prophet is without honor in his own land." But hey, we got JESUS on our side too!

Third, we are the best of people, adopting ethics like truth and kindness and love, just like in the 60s! By comparison, our LIBERAL ELITE is the most moral group in human history, and as we are seen in the light of what is happening and suggested around us, we are the true Christians and the truly good folks.

So, sit back, and quaff a beverage. We are THE ELITE, and we should be happy to bask in all that glory bestowed on us. Best of all, we may be the only elite in history to be able to say "I told you so" and be proven right ever single time!
