OUTCOME Is REFERENDUM On Boehner
:smoke::smoke:

" Thursday’s vote on the House Republican debt-limit bill has quickly become a referendum on Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). It is, without question, the biggest vote of Boehner’s reign. Some are even speculating that Boehner’s Speakership is on the line.

If Boehner can convince his colleagues to back his bill, he will gain significant leverage in the debt-limit talks. If it’s voted down, there will be questions about whether he can remain an effective leader of the House GOP Conference. A seasoned House Republican lawmaker, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Hill that the vote on Boehner’s proposal is a “vote of confidence in the Speaker.”

“This is the first time that we’re almost in a parliamentary position in that the president is sort of out of it, and this is now a situation where it’s a vote of confidence in the Speaker and so, if we don’t get it through, John is out of the picture,” the source said.

“As a Republican, this is a vote of confidence in John Boehner,” the Republican legislator stated, as members of the GOP leadership frantically sought to minimize defections Wednesday.

They do NOT break ranks. NEVER.

14. They are bullies
Just as the Dems cave to the puke bullies when they could whip them handily, so the pukes cave to the bagger bullies -- because they fear them.

Fear is THE motivator that trumps all others. The further right you go, the more willing, the more EAGER the operatives are to use -- and manufacture -- fear.

FDR was correct. So was Lyman Baum. Yet even here on DU we hear the trembling whines and see the nervous wringing of hands, because too many of US have bought into the fear and allowed THEM to control us with it.

But there are too few of us left standing, and we have no Savio.

15. Lets see how much support they get today from the tea party. Repukes themselves are responsible for
giving birth to the tea party Hezbollah.

11. Of course, with Tea Bagger help.

"Erick Erickson, CNN’s pundit who once called a sitting Supreme Court Judge a “goat-fucking child molester” and

still managed to keep his job at that ridiculous network, currently drowning in a level of buffoonery that has seldom been

seen before.

But as AlterNet points out, he is apparently at the top of the list of those who are advising house Republicans on the

debt ceiling debate, and this may explain why we’re so royally fucked:

Erickson boasted on Twitter that a post he wrote was being passed around by GOP members of the House, who,

again according to Erickson, were giving it plenty of credence. In an “open letter” to Congressional Republicans he wrote,

“despite what the pundits in Washington are telling you, it is you and not Obama who hold most of the cards…Should the

United States lose its bond rating, it will be called the ‘Obama Depression.’ Congress does not get pinned with this stuff.”

10. Boehner will get his bill
It will go nowhere in the Senate, but he'll manage to wrangle to nutso's in the House to pass it, by slim majority.
