Fringe group barred suspected Norway killer from forum

Reuters) - A fringe European anti-Islamist lobby group said Saturday the man suspected of Norway's gun and bomb massacre had tried to join their Facebook group on the Internet but had been rejected over his apparent neo-Nazi links.

Anders Gravers, founder of Stop Islamization of Europe (SIOE), said Anders Behring Breivik had made the application around 18 months ago.

Breivik said in an Internet posting in December 2009 (here) he had had discussions with SIOE, but Gravers said his organization had no record of this.

"He has never been in contact with us and he has never given us any advice," Gravers told Reuters.

1. It's been interesting watching the killer's favourite anti-Islam sites trying to find excuses

Brussels Journal blames anyone who supports multiculturalism and thus prevents people like the killer having a debate without being called 'racist' - and so he had no option but the massacres.

Gates of Vienna say it's not their fault he praised them so much and frequently quoted them, and anyway he was planning it before their blog started . And anyway, they're convinced Timothy McVeigh had a Muslim accomplice, so they aren't ruling out Islamic involvement here too

Atlas Shrugs is saying the DHS paid Facebook to put 'Christian' and 'Conservative' on his Facebook page, and anyway he linked to Little Green Footballs once, so never mind that he praised the site owner Pamela Geller several times, or that LGF used to be far right too, it's got nothing to do with her and her crusade to support far right groups in Europe. And if it ain't jihad, then it ain't terrorism.
