Jon Stewart salutes Murdoch’s ‘crime-fighting wife’ Wendi Deng

About the only thing the shaving-cream-pie-wielding British comic “Johnny Marbles” actually accomplished in his attempt to put a pie into Rupert Murdoch’s face was to introduce the world to the media baron’s wife Wendi, who leapt from her chair to defend her husband, manicured nails flashing. On Wednesday’s “The Daily Show”, host Jon Stewart saluted Ms. Deng’s Ultimate Fighting skills and declared that her ferocious scowl during Murdoch’s Parliamentary testimony was the most withering look of disapproval he’s seen since Willie Geist tried to set ABC’s Mark Halperin’s suit jacket on fire with his eyes after Halperin called the president a “dick” live on the air. So of course, what else is there to do, really, but call for a “Scowl-Off”?
