Tuesday's Democratic recall primaries were not the low-turnout contests some observers expected.

In fact, says University of Wisconsin-Madison political scientist Charles Franklin, in some of the Senate districts, the turnout even rivaled that in April's blockbuster Supreme Court election — which Franklin termed "gigantic."

...........

One candidate in each of the Democratic primaries was a party-backed challengers to a Republican incumbent facing recall election. The other was a fake Democrat put up by the Republican Party to force the primary and give the incumbent more time to campaign.

What is surprising is the silly headline. Many just do not get it that many folks are riled up over Walker and his repug poodles running over our lives!

5. The headline is neither silly nor stupid. The corporate media continues to marginalize democracy.
They perfectly well get what they're saying, and who they're saying it to (tip: it isn't progressives).

6. Will Scott Walker have his ass handed to him? The answer might surprise Tom Tolan.
