I want them to pay taxes at the same rate I do
To the wingnut who keeps telling me that rich people will lose all incentive to work if we increase their taxes:

I’m half of a working couple that does fairly well--well enough to put us into a high tax bracket, but not quite well enough for either of us to get over the payroll-tax cap. Between my share of payroll tax, my employer’s share of payroll tax, and income tax, my marginal tax rate is well over 40%. If I haven't lost the motivation to work, why is a hedge-fund billionaire going to stop working if we tax him over 15%?

I won’t consider our tax system to be fair until billionaires and giant corporations pay taxes at at least the same rate I do. And don’t tell me that payroll taxes don’t count as long as you’re willing to balance the budget on the back of Social Security and Medicare.

10. More whining about taxes.
I saw one of hers in another thread, and it had the stench of Freeper all over it.

3. For a meager beginning, I'd like them to get out of the tax credit category.
FFS why do they need *my* money in order to create jobs?

6. That would make sense if you want the economy to improve. But they don't want that.
Because then Obama may get re-elected. And their whole reason for being is perpetual reign.

The richer you are, the higher your taxes.

11. That would be nice, yes
But a good start would be if the middle class didn't pay a higher percentage in taxes than billionaires.

14. No, that would certainly not be a good start.
That's been the obscenely rich's objective all along. A flat tax. You're letting the right move your goal post.

12. Wing-nuts lie, distort, prevaricate, and dissemble with aplomb, mendacity, sanctimony,
reichousness, dis-ingenuity, and hypocrisy imo. :patriot:

13. 40%..?!?!?!
You need to get on TV and tell this story. Do a press release to a local news org, and spread your story.
