Racism is still a scourge in the USA
Last week a young black college football player was ordered to pull up his sagging pants while getting on an airplane. When he failed to follow the order fast enough he was arrested by the pilot and led away in handcuffs by the police. This week we learn that white men fly the same airline under quite a different dress code (the airline claims not to have an official dress code).

That gentleman was allowed to fly dressed like that on the same airline. He wasn't bothered at all by the flight crew.

3. Agreed.... but....
" ... When he failed to follow the order fast enough he was arrested by the pilot ... "

Is that REALLY the case? 'fast enough'?

Also, if the Panty-Party-Publicity-Stunt-Man had been asked to change his attire and refused and scuffled with police, wouldn't he have been arrested?

Racism is rampant enough, we shouldn't nit-pick and sugar-coat the events.

I've been on MANY Southwest flights where the ladies are very very very SCANTILY clad and MOST go free... from time to time.. a FEW are asked to cover....
so it's more of an 'attendent call' than a corporate policy.

Just sayin'.

Even the jerk with the red-tshirt with the script like coca cola which read boldly " GOT VAGINA?" wasn't even questioned...
(Of course ME wanted to say 'hey does that T shirt REALLY work for you???' LOL!

4. Yes it is the case
there is a video out on the internet that disputes the airlines account of what happened that led to the young black man's arrest.

8. On U.S. Airways, there is no dress code.
So there was arbitrary enforcement going on. The white cross dresser flew in that outfit nine days before the pants-on-the-ground college athlete.

US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder confirmed she'd received the photo before last week's incident in San Francisco and had spoken to Tarlow, but said employees had been correct not to ask the man to cover himself.

"We don't have a dress code policy," Wunder said. "Obviously, if their private parts are exposed, that's not appropriate. ... So if they're not exposing their private parts, they're allowed to fly."

6. White VP shot a man in the face while drunk and didn't have to even talk to police.
A black man shot himself accidently in the leg and spent two years behind bars.

African American shoots himself, jailed two years. WASP veep shoots guy in face, he's free.
