Gatecrasher Andrew Breitbart chased out of Netroots Nation

Fresh off his destruction of the career of former Congressman Anthony Weiner, BigGovernment’s Andrew Breitbart showed up unannounced at the Netroots Nation conference on Friday, trailed by his camera crew.

As reported by Dave Weigel of Slate, Breitbart was quickly confronted by progressive activist Ryan Clayton, who told him that since he had no credential to cover the conference, “maybe you should leave” and then asked if he felt it was “okay for you to be here without paying.”

Breitbart attempted to enter the main hall, but staffers refused to let him through without a press credential. They later told Talking Points Memo that he “will not be given a media credential, for fear that he’ll use it to disrupt the proceedings.”

Meanwhile, a cursing and hectoring crowd had pursued Breitbart with cries of “Coward! Coward!” into a service entrance and out of the building.

12. This is the treatment he deserves
He has been able to destroy innocent peoples careers and lives without any responsibility. Anthony Weiner is the exception and he didn't need Breitbart to do that.

13. years ago we would have dragged him into a room and asked him to leave.
Back then he would have said he would like to leave, and would have been wheeled out.

Not the smartest way to handle things, imo. I'd let him stay and slowly rip his ass apart from the inside out.

23. No way.
Letting the guy stay to get any footage at all would have been allowing him to meet his objectives. You think he'd keep the footage of him "slowly" being ripped apart?

It was best to get him out.

24. Doesn't matter, everyone else would have footage of him getting
verbally eviscerated that would go viral in a heartbeat! Running him off just bolsters his rep as a serious 'confrontational' journalist imo.

27. Why not let him stay?
Would it better to have one of his minions infiltrate in a clandestine way?

Let's keep everything out in the open.

What harm could he do, really?

Make it inaccessible. Call it in because it was parked illegally. Something like that.
