You've lost the plot when..
You think Weiner should have, will have a political future.

He needs to be removed and his job given to someone who doesn't post crotch pictures.

1. Lets give it a rest.
Sounds like he'll be resigning within the next couple days, he knows he needs to do the right thing for the sake of the Party.

Hopefully we can put this whole sordid affair behind us soon and move on.

7. All I'm saying is that the gauntlet has been thrown.
The writing is on the wall, etc.

It's over.

There's no point in beating a dead horse any longer, lets just respect Weiner's decision when he makes it public soon, no need to continue to harp on him.

3. you've lost the plot when you think you're the first (or the 1000th) person to say this
on DU.

6. you're right. you didn't say you were first.
still doesn't make your post any more revelatory; just a waste of time.

9. Gotta laugh
when someone on the internet defines a 'waste of time'. Good luck with that.

5. Quote from the movie The Last Castle.
When the wrong Prison Warden tries to get the General removed.

Smear should not be used to remove someone, if he did something that should be the reason.

What did he do? And would you know it by what is said on the news, when they make stuff up.

Discussing the function, it is wrong for much of the media and many in congress to say he should resign, becuase it is not a just comparison based on what some other people have been said to have done.

Did he do something else, and if he did, what are they hiding?

It is the just view of the situation, smear merchants should not run things, and people should be informed if it is to remove a person elected, and why that is attempted.

8. Why do you think Weiner needs to be removed
but you don't think the same thing about Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins?

Because the RWNM did a hit piece on Weiner, but not on Jenkins and because the M$M started flogging it too.

The RWNM rings a bell and even half of progressives start salivating like Pavlov dogs.

Maybe it is better to stop and think.

10. Ah yes, the old so-and-so-did-worse defence
And the reference to Pavlov's dogs.

So, you think Weiner is fine. Not my problem. I just wouldn't want a piece of shit like him representing me. YMVV.

17. Well Jenkins is supposed to be representing me.
and yes I would take Weiner over Jenkins without a moment of hesitation. Not only that, but Jenkins, unlike Weiner, may have broken the law. For some reason though, the media is not investigating her. You are not bothered by this seeming double standard? IOKIYAR?

13. I'd say that responsibility lies with his constituents...
not the armchair firing squad of DU and professional Democratic sophists.

Of course, left to his constituents, you'd all be shit out of luck since his support and approval rating among his constituents? It has increased since this all began.

I'm taking names, I'm not supporting the hand-wringing crowd going forth. That's the swamp I want to see drained, the surrender lemmings within the Democratic Party.

Rather tiring watching alleged enlightned liberal minded folks obsess about it. I'm digging the ignore feature these days.
