What's up with the "MacKeeper" ads on DU? Malware?

Are these linked to malware like the recent Mac Defender et al?

1. Meh. Most Mac people know better than to click on those silly things and get scammed.

But I could be wrong...

Click on "options" and then from the list on the left, click on "edit your preferences."

That takes you to yet another page, where, down at the very bottom, you will find a place to get rid of most of the ads here on DU.

It must be other ads I'm seeing and not google's.

9. Go and get thee an add-on for Firefox called Adblock Plus. It's AWESOME.

I don't really see ads in most places on the internet.
