The unmasking of the author of the blog "Gay Girl in Damascus" as a middle-aged American man has led to the discovery that the editor of a popular US lesbian news site, Lez Get Real, is also a man.

The revelation that the editor of Lez Get Real, which was founded in 2008, was Bill Graber, a 58-year-old construction worker living in Ohio, and not a lesbian woman called "Paula Brooks" was made by The Washington Post.

8. You're confusing sex, and gender, and sexual preference.

It's definitely possible to be a lesbian male... a person born with male chromosomes, but who identifies as a female who is sexually attracted to other women.

To clarify:
Sex is what your genetics say.
Gender is who you identify with.
Sexual preference is who you desire companionship with.

Add in the fact that none of the three are binary (you can be an XXY male, or an XXY female, or a genetic male with female genital formation, etc.), and there's a huge variety of possibilities.
