Ted Williams the homeless man with golden voice on Lawrence O' Donnell tonight
After the booking wars this morning (and yesterday morning), one network gave a “golden-voiced homeless man” an offer he could not refuse — a job.

MSNBC announced today that Ted Williams is recording voice-overs for its “Lean Forward” campaign. The network says Williams’ ability to overcome his many struggles is the very thing that the campaign embodies.

Williams will be a guest on “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell” tonight at 10pmET, and will appear later on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

Maybe he’ll move into 30 Rock?

1. Just hope he stays clean and sober through all of this - a lot to handle
while still relatively new to a clean life

2. Is he going to take the job from the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Watching him on GMA this morning actually made me cry. It's a wonderful story. I see a movie down the road telling his story.

5. Oh - was he offered a job with them? Wonderful! What I didn't want to see
happen is all this media flurry then the media would move on and that he might not actually get a j.o.b.

3. K&R- I am sure it will be easier to stay sober with a job than being homeless...
I wish Mr. Williams all the best.

4. Oh, I'm so glad he got a job. I heard an intro last night to KO about "job offers"
but didn't catch the show -- I was hoping he had been swamped!

It's great that MSNBC is acting on this -- and they're right -- it's what their campaign exemplifies.
