Bildeberg group trying to have secret meetings in Switzerland?
Did you know? I had to watch Russian TV to find out. There is not a hint on our MSN. There are also protests there so the secret is apparently out. A Swedish protestor says that that if elected officials meet with this group, it's considered treason in Sweden. Another Swiss protestor said she didn't want her children growing up to be a slave in the new world order they are trying to build. If you don't know about the Bilderberg organization here's a couple of links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_Group

http://www.nndb.com/org/514/000042388/

I grew up during the cold war and at that time we considered Pravda, the Soviet news outlet with the same regard that progressives think of Fox News today and that I think of all our news mostly including CNN and MSNBC. Ironic that we have to go to Russian TV and Al Jazeera to get news about things we might want to know about and that we need to know about because we can't get that news from our "Pravda" outlets.

They also said that the US Congressional delegation are told they are persona non grata in Iraq. We aren't getting that reported either.

4. You get your news on TV? Really?
There are far better sources, and the Bilderberg meeting isn't secret at all - at least not the fact that they're meeting, anyhow.

I took a web tour of the hotel yesterday. Very nice establishment, but way above my means.

Have a nice afternoon.

6. No, I watch TV for breaking news like everyone else
does including the President of the US or did you not see all the TV's tuned to ZNN (or CNN) on the show The West Wing.

8. How is a meeting that has been planned for months breaking
news? If you worry about the Bilderberg group, you can follow them on their website. It's not breaking news that they're meeting. They do it every year.

10. I wasn't worried about the Bilderberg group for a long
time. I forgot about them and was reminded about them by reporters doing their job and not concentrating all their reporting on a Congressman's junk. This is what the news is supposed to do. The rest of us can't follow everything in the world like they can.

12. Well, Time magazine just did a story on their meeting.
I don't know what to tell you. You didn't get the news from a source you expected? OK.

5. Yes, but is the public allowed in the meetings?
I think this is what was meant by secrecy.

Doesn't closed mean that the results of the meetings
will be disclosed later, in a report, in a press conference? Will these be disclosed or are they kept in secret?

13. Yes, well, that happens a lot with a lot of things.
I'm not that important that I hear about the inner workings of such organizations.

14. This wasn't the point of my post anyway, if anyone
had read it. It was that our MSM is so pathetic that the Russians are giving us credible journalism and we have become Pravda. That is very disgraceful for our once proud country with once really good media and press. I used to read Time Magazine all the time but gave it up when it started to become another propaganda rag.

15. My sister once attended Renaissance Weekend...
Lots of wealthy power-players attend. They don't publish the content of their discussions. Is my sister part of a corporatist conspiracy to control the world?

(he're a hint: every attendee chips in - she taught a yoga class)

16. Is she? Did you ask her?
However, my post is not about Bildeberg although I think any consortium of wealthy and powerful need to be watched. My post is about the difference of media coverage from here and elsewhere. The Bildeberg story was important in another part of the world. Our media doesn't seem to think that what isn't about penises and horribly murdered children is worth talking about.
