Weiner posts - if you have to post about him, remind folks to "Indict Clarence Thomas." Here's why:
Edited on Sat Jun-11-11 08:11 AM by leveymg
Clarence Thomas committed federal offenses, and Rep. Weiner brought this to our attention. That's why Rep. Weiner has been targeted by Breitbart and is being character assassinated in the MSM.

Indict Clarence Thomas.

Filing a false report violates 5 USC App. 104, an impeachable criminal offense. Thomas did it repeatedly.

Appendix 104 to the US Code is at: http://openjurist.org/title-5/us-code/appendix/104/failure-to-file-or-filing-false-reports

Bottom-line: that was an impeachable criminal offense by Thomas, one that potentially carries a year in prison and a $50,000 fine, as well as referral to the Judicial Conference and the ethics committee for "appropriate personnel or other action."

I read that to mean that Clarence Thomas is gone as Associate Justice. Yet, he's still ruling on cases. Why hasn't an Indictment been sought by the Attorney General?

5 USC App. 104
(a)
(1) The Attorney General may bring a civil action in any appropriate United States district court against any individual who knowingly and willfully falsifies or who knowingly and willfully fails to file or report any information that such individual is required to report pursuant to section 102. The court in which such action is brought may assess against such individual a civil penalty in any amount, not to exceed $50,000.
(2)
(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly and willfully
(i) falsify any information that such person is required to report under section 102; and
(ii) fail to file or report any information that such person is required to report under section 102.
(B) Any person who
(i) violates subparagraph (A)(i) shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, imprisoned for not more than 1 year, or both; and
(ii) violates subparagraph (A)(ii) shall be fined under title 18, United States Code.
(b) The head of each agency, each Secretary concerned, the Director of the Office of Government Ethics, each congressional ethics committee, or the Judicial Conference, as the case may be, shall refer to the Attorney General the name of any individual which such official or committee has reasonable cause to believe has willfully failed to file a report or has willfully falsified or willfully failed to file information required to be reported. Whenever the Judicial Conference refers a name to the Attorney General under this subsection, the Judicial Conference also shall notify the judicial council of the circuit in which the named individual serves of the referral.
(c) The President, the Vice President, the Secretary concerned, the head of each agency, the Office of Personnel Management, a congressional ethics committee, and the Judicial Conference, may take any appropriate personnel or other action in accordance with applicable law or regulation against any individual failing to file a report or falsifying or failing to report information required to be reported.

For five or six years in a row, Thomas conspired with his wife, a lobbyist, and checked a box marking "No Spousal Income."

It's a rule in the intelligence business to never put an agent in a position where they might hurt you unless you have something to hang over their heads. Sword of Damocles.

14. So is the Attorney General in a coma?
That is his job. Also sounds like several individuals have the power to start an investigation. How is it that only Tony could do this, and that shaming him freezes the powers of the others? He's a House Rep. He is not the holder of exclusive power to investigate Thomas. This nation has a Chief Executive and a Judicial branch that seem to be able to investigate and pressure states and sick people over medical marijuana. I note that when people say 'hey, you go after them while the Meth epidemic rages on' they say 'so what?'.
So Holder wasting time going after chemo patients instead of Thomas is an interesting choice on his part, not at all explained by Tony, his smart phone, his genitals, his 'wife' or any other aspect of Tony and his bags and baggage.
The question is why are those who can do something doing nothing? Or rather, why are they doing the wrong things and letting the right things sit undone?

My personal hunch is there's some bipartisan deal-making going on - you know, the type that always seems to disadvantage the Dems.

I'd be delighted to be pleasantly surprised if Clarence suddenly resigns.

18. So Weiner is the only Dem in the House?
Why isn't someone else in Congress saying this?

Supreme Court justices are impeached by the House. Are we supposed to believe that Weiner is the only progressive in the
House willing to call for an investigation of Thomas?

Where is Nancy Pelosi? Where are all the other reliable liberals? Why is this connection being mentioned ONLY on progressive internet sites?

This meme has the distinct aroma of bullshit. That's why.

32. How many of them are not of the "don't start nothing you can't finish" mold?
A Dem might present a bill, which would immediately and soundly be squashed by the pukes and their blue-dog allies. What's the result? Thomas is unscathed and the Dem that put up the bill has made a few more enemies.

Weiner is, or was, one of those not in that mold - and look what happened to him.

39. Federal Judges have no immunity except for "judicial acts", may and have been arrested.
Here's a nice juicy sex and drugs arrest of a senior federal Judge reported in Atlanta last year: http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/federal-judge-charged-with-658597.html

Atlanta News 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Federal judge charged with buying drugs from stripper

By Steve Visser and Bill Torpy

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A longtime federal judge was freed on a $50,000 bond Monday after his arrest on federal charges that he bought cocaine and other illegal drugs while involved in a sexual relationship with an exotic dancer for the past several months.

Thomas may be indicted by the Judicial Conference of the United States. In 1980, the Judicial Council Reform and Judicial Conduct and Disability Act became law, which empowered the Judicial Conference of the United States to investigate and police the judiciary and, if need be, request that the House of Representatives impeach federal judges. Most judicial impeachments since then have been based on these requests.
