The positioning of Mittens--when I saw this Newsweek cover yesterday, I thought
this is the start of the Mittens push:

Pawlenty's only being brought in to give the appearance of a bit of suspense. IMO.

1. You really can't use "suspense" in the same sentence with "Pawlenty."

5. Lol! Perhaps "suspense" isn't what I meant. More like "appearance of a race." nt

10. Oh, yeah, him. I think Burt Lancaster copied some of Sunday's moves for "Elmer Gantry." nt

3. Actually, he Republican plan is to keep Obama in office for four more years....
...he's doing a great job for them.

They'll run Herman Cain (See? we're not racist.) with Thrill-a-Minute Pawlenty second on the ticket and lose by a hair (after cheating high and low).

Then they'll continue to rob the American People blind for four more years, after which they can claim it's all the fault of having a Democratic President.

They're brilliant in their evil.

6. Good point. But I think the Pubs enjoy having the Rethug "brand" on the Presidency. Plus, so many
are disappointed with Obama that the "election" of Romney can be plausibly attributed to Dem voters not voting.

7. The cover looks like an advertisment for a 1950's musical

On the politics of it, if Perry is really running this guy is going to be toast. He's lucky to get his cover story now.
