13. + Kicks, Hungry, Just Like Me, Good Thing, Indian Reservation
And more, including a version of Louie, Louie.

The group still does a great show. I happened to catch them when they did a concert at the Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial 9 or 10 years ago. Besides doing their own hits, they did a fantastic job covering other groups' hits of the '60s and '70s.

35. Paul Revere rides again
(This story is undated, but references indicate it was from 2001, the year I saw them play and got a 'Ride to the Wall' CD autographed by Paul.)

Boise icon hits road to D.C. and biggest concert of his career

By Tim Woodward
The Idaho Statesman

Gerry Melendez / The Idaho Statesman

Thirty years ago today, Paul Revere fired up his Harley for a motorcycle ride across America to promote a recording. This week, he'll do it again to help the nation's veterans.

The Boise rock 'n' roll icon, who had six gold albums in the '60s and '70s, has spent parts of the past two years making a CD titled "Ride to the Wall," the first recording with new Paul Revere and the Raiders material in more than 20 years.

All of its profits will be donated to veterans organizations.

Motorcyclists will join Revere, Forrest Gump-like, as he travels from Seattle to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Wall, in Washington, D.C. He'll make the trip around tour commitments, arriving in Washington for a performance at the annual Rolling Thunder Memorial Day weekend observance.

Paul's Ride to the Wall Foundation provides grants to assist homeless and at-risk veterans through "Stand Down" programs in cities throughout the country. I'm involved with the Stand Down in my community, though its name here has been changed to 'Outreach to Homeless Veterans.'

I hadn't visited this site in 10 years, but the OP led me to check it--and to discover the grant information, which will soon lead to a grant app for our Outreach. :)

I think you'd enjoy their website:

Hometown band for me. It's astonishing they're not in the R-A-R-H-O-Fame.

group if they are not the same people.

37. A couple of the original guys, including Revere went around
about 20 years ago and put on an ok show. They came to our Hot August Nights thing a couple times. They played their big hits and other oldies form the 60's. That's a car show/cruise type weekend celebration with a concert night. They were a perfect fit back then. The audience was largely people that were kids when they were big.

Funny that we are about 70 miles from where Mark Lindsay lives. It wouldn't be that great for Hot August Nights even if they all got back together. The crowd demographics at that show now call for more of a mid 70's or later act.
