Listen live to the morning rain over Fukushima nuclear power plant.

If you click HERE you can listen to the morning rain tinkling on metal, listen to the birds call. Quite a soothing sound really, and all of it broadcast from ground zero for the world's worst nuclear accident.

The link, which I'd had bookmarked for a while, is the live streaming camera of the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

I just tuned in to see what I could see but for some reason the video is washed out. Without that, though, I wasn't distracted from the beautiful sounds of nature, such as it is, continuing. You may have to turn it up to the max to hear it best. I just stepped outside. It's raining lightly here in Eugene, Oregon. There are birds occasionally calling out. Not much different, sound-wise.

1. The first thing I think of
is what is IN that rain... :scared: poor birds and animals ... wonder how long before they start falling out of the sky over tokoyo, or worse, wherever they migrate to.

I'm in the west too, we have drizzle and snow today here in the sierras...and more & more I wonder what is 'really' in the stuff coming down from the sky, and how our vegies will fare...if they glow in the dark, I can bet you I ain't eating them! yikes!

2. Yeah, same sense of foreboding here.
They won't glow, though, no matter how radioactive they are. Fallout like this is odorless, colorless and incredibly toxic to life. Though not immediately, of course.
