If you watch this video to the end, NSFW (F-bombs), Bill Hicks tells us in no uncertain terms that NAFTA will 'sell your lives out from under you'.

Just another voice in the wilderness at the time, but youtube has changed Hicks' legacy.

The man was light years ahead of his time. Watched "American: The Bill Hicks Story" on iTunes, well worth it. "Revelations" ranks among the best stand-ups of all-time. He is sorely missed.

Sadly, he is correct. Wen NAFTA was passed the top American employers were major manufacturers employing millions of workers at solid middle class wages. Number one was GM. Today number one is WALMART. Number two is, if I recall, McDonalds. The top ten includes such fine employers as Target, Home Depot, Lowes. We replaced fifty million middle class manufacturing jobs with minimum wage RETAIL SALES jobs, and hid the disaster with bubbles and debt.

It was NOT the GOP.

It was BOTH parties doing exactly what their owners told them to do. Every time you fall for the illusion, every time you think "Oh, my guys are different" you lose. And worse, your KIDS lose.
