I do admire the Quakers. And I greatly admire her steadfast integrity, tenacity, and dedication. Surprisingly, Nixon, I believe, was of Quaker heritage, and he did have progressive leanings. He was prideful and paranoid, and very political, of course, but he did support progressive legislation. Elizabeth Warren's unassailable persistence is quite remarkable.:applause: :bounce: :applause:

1. From Wikipedia:
She is an ex-Sunday School teacher and cites Methodist John Wesley as an inspiration.

I like & agree what you said about her:
... admire her steadfast integrity, tenacity, and dedication. ... and ... Elizabeth Warren's unassailable persistence is quite remarkable.

6. I love your cat. She makes my Louie look quite scruffy.
He is a big, long haired, blue grey little guy with very short legs.

7. While I do civil enforcement for a living
few other Quakers I know would chose this path. This path requires a bit more interpersonal assertiveness than most Quakers I know would be comfortable doing. It also involves going to court, something most Quakers seek to avoid on all but the most dire occasions. Methodists have a committment to social justice and aren't quite as concerned for consensus, pacifism, and unity as most Quakers.

Nixon was a lapsed Quaker of the most austere and conservative sort. Not your peace movement / civil rights sort of Quaker at all. That said, his Meeting tried to write him out, but could not reach unity on it. :)
