Every Day Heroes
Edited on Mon May-23-11 11:04 AM by Cyrano
Most of those we consider heroes are military personnel, firefighters and police. And in most cases, rightly so.

Are they the only heroes? What about the father and/or mother who works two or three jobs for the sake of the future of their children? What about those who have no medical insurance and care for a spouse or relative who has something incurable? What about those who struggle every single day of their lives to feed those they love?

Today, America is filled with heroes who are fighting for survival.

Yet, there are those who couldn't give a damn if those heroes survive or not.

What I'm getting at here is the indifference and meanness of spirit of the Republican Party. But while we're looking for villains, let's not forget blue dog Dems, the main stream media, and the corporations that own them all. And therefore, own all of us.

There's no shortage of heroes in today's world. And there's no shortage of villains who exploit them.

Will most Americans ever become aware that we are in a war we cannot afford to lose to those who are using us, abusing us, and couldn't care less whether we live or die?
