Sinister meme: conflating anti-war protest and terrorism.
This is a bad business. Protesting these wars is fundamental to freedom
and the structure of a decent society. Considering anti-war protesters
terrorists and lumping them in as "enemies" in the "war on terror" shows
us how low our country has sunk.

3. Well, it's been UNOFFICIAL policy for generations.
From Haymarket Square to Kent State, the lines have been pretty obvious.

But you know what? I participated in the antiwar movement from '68 on (and the first part of that was when I was in the Army, just returned from Vietnam), and was in the streets of Madison from early '69 on, breathed my share of tear gas, got whacked by a police billy & all of that, and nothing shocked me quite as much as seeing the cops come over to our side in the Wisconsin demonstrations this spring. And it wasn't just the Madison & Dane County uniforms. It was the Eau Claire cops, the Chippewa Falls cops, the Washburn cops…

I think the grasp of the Fascists on their traditional tools of power is weaker than they realize.

4. I certainly hope you're right Jack, but
I have a suspicion that it's going to be spotty RE: police on the side of the people.

I'm more concerned with the army anyway. EVERYBODY should be lobbying EMs every chance they get and reminding those kids that THEY DON'T HAVE TO OBEY ILLEGAL LAWS. 99% of the EMs are from the working class. Something to consider.

5. Who was it that said something to the effect that
you can always hire half of the rabble to kill the other half?
