Thanks a LOT,California- The Draft Perry movement begins... in Ca.

Some have speculated that if Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels declines to enter the 2012 race, conservatives would then form a Draft Texas Gov. Rick Perry campaign. California Assemblyman Dan Logue isn’t waiting that long. He announces on FlashReport:

As a member of the California State Assembly, I led a bipartisan delegation of lawmakers that visited Austin a few weeks ago to learn why Texas was creating jobs while the Golden State was struggling.

We found that from January 2008 to December 2010, Texas added more than 165,000 jobs while during the same period, California lost 1.2 million jobs. My colleagues and I saw those numbers as an indication that, under the leadership of Rick Perry, Texas was doing something very right.

If we can get Governor Rick Perry in Washington instead of Texas he will no longer recruit businesses from California, but he will recruit jobs back to America from China and India. Rick Perry will put America – not just Texas, back to work.

Assemblymen Katcho Achadjian, Diane Harkey, Kevin Jeffries, Brian Jones, and Mike Morrell have all joined Logue’s effort. You can join them at www.draftperry2012.com.

nor did any of my neighbors, friends or family and we all live in California.

If you want to thank us how about starting with our clean air laws that may be a model for the rest of the country.

13. Why there are jobs in Texas?
Edited on Fri May-20-11 04:09 PM by SoCalDem
The same reason why there were jobs all over the South while The Rust Belt was being formed in the upper mid west & north east..

Cheap/non-union labor, nearly-free land for corporatists, sweetheart tax deals for those corporatists, a wink & a nod on pollution regulations, the usage of state money to "improve" those sites..

When you actually do the math those jobs often end up costing the state money in the long run..

companies often milk it for as long as the "deals" last and then pullup stakes as they head to the next state on the downward spiral map..
