Propaganda from the war zones courtesy of the military's embedded journalists
I can't add a link since DU let me know that antiwar is not a site to be believed and I can't add links to them; however, there's an article about embedded journalists and diplomats working "with/for" the military that any of you who sometimes question or at least wonder about the reporting from war zones might find worth reading.

Peter Van Buren, who served with the State Dept as a foreign service office team leader of two Provincial Reconstruction Teams, and Tom Englehardt have an excellent article on antiwar.com. It's from Van Buren's book: "We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People."

(p.s. although I'm glad to be a Democrat and like coming to DU, I don't agree with the conclusions here about antiwar.com)

1. Our entire future rests upon
who will edit what, for what purpose and when, under what context based on who decides it is so in relation to the dominant paradigm seeking its presumed and expected outcome regardless of the impact of said upon the individuals involved.

When the individuals involved fully understand that dynamic and respond accordingly, while including a clear and well thought-out comprehension of the part versus the whole, get that, then we might have a real and viable revolution on our hands. It can then emerge as it will and must. The rest is commentary. Manipulation is very obvious these days and we can reject it without much effort if we will to do so. We are all able to discern between morality and a more ethical and natural way of being and living. We are only left to choose what is what and decide what is best for us to do in times like these.
