My Evil Democratic Deed For the Day
It's a long way to 2012, but it's still fun yanking right wingie-dingie chains. I got a robo-call prerecorded by Dick Morris saying that I was considered an important conservative (I don't know how they got my phone number, but I think that so-called "conservatives" have lost touch with reality) and asked me for my help in an opinion poll as to which conservative candidate would be the most effective to defeat Barack Obama and his socialist agenda (REAL socialists, take a break for laughter as long as you want). I let the spiel run down and a live operator got on the line. She asked me which conservative candidate I supported, and I replied none of the above. I'm a Barack Obama supporter, and that furthermore, the toe-sucker could blow it through his trousers.

The operator wished me a good day and hastily disconnected.

A waste of time on my part, perhaps, but I felt better after that small act of resistance.

3. You should have picked one of their least viable candidates like Bachmann

5. Yeah, I Should Have Said That
Yeah, I should have said that. At this point, I realize that the Wasilla Diva's (Sarah Palin) day is done. Not enough of the Senile Elephant Party would support her in the primaries. I'm now rooting for Michelle Bachmann to get the Republican Party nomination.

4. some years back I got a poll call on "Republican Issues"
I said my only issue with Republicans was that they weren't being hung fast enough.

9. my favorite evil democratic deed for the day was
back when jerry falwell was begging for money on the PTL club...he was really going at gay people--just bashing the heck out of them just so he could scare people into making donations to the PTL... so, all the gay people got the word out to call the PTL's 800 number and get the PTL operators to talk as long as possible. It only took about a week or two and then the PTL had to abandon their 800 line.

Not long after that I got a letter in the mail from the PTL asking for a donation. They sent along a self addressed envelope with "NO POSTAGE NECESSARY-PTL WILL PAY THE POSTAGE". SO I filled it full of lead fishing weights, taped it up nice and tight, and sent it back with a note to have a nice day." It probably cost them $5. I never heard from them again.

10. I Don't Think You Can Do That Anymore (sigh)
I don't think you can do that anymore. I think the Postal Service changed the regulations to make that impossible at the behest of the mass mailing moguls. A pity. I'd love to have done that with those Judicial Watch (bleep) (censored) (deleteds). :grr:
