Heads Up! 60 Minutes doing piece on Soveriegn Citizen Movement

Tonight, 60 Minutes is examining the bizarre "sovereign citizens" movement — made up of some 300,000 far-right extremists who believe they don't have to follow our laws. The report will highlight the murder of two West Memphis, Ark., police officers at the hands of these extremists.

As you may recall, we alerted law enforcement and the public to the rising danger from these radicals more than a year ago. And after the two West Memphis police officers were killed, we produced a police training video to help keep other officers safe. Police Chief Bob Paudert, the father of one of the slain officers and the narrator in our video, will be featured in the 60 Minutes piece.

With your help, we've sent over 50,000 copies of the training video free of charge to law enforcement officers across the country. The feedback has been incredible. Officers tell us that the video will save lives.

I hope you can tune in tonight. We worked closely with the 60 Minutes producers to provide up-to-date intelligence about this dangerous movement. 9. One of these fellows walked into a law firm where I worked

some years ago. He was ranting about capital letters in public documents and whether or not this indicated he was required to comply, and such... chilling ...

He was probably armed.

That was a really sad story about the police chief's son (and some 3other officers) being massacred by one of those "sovereigns." No wonder the father is now on a mission to educate police officers about this; they are the biggest local targets of this group.

For anyone who missed it, there's supposed to be a video posted on the 60 Minutes website about it.
