Ron Paul on GMA on government assistance after natural disasters.
This exchange took place as part of his appearance to make his announcement that he will run in the 2012 primaries. Says much about how the people would fare under a Paul administration. Thinking of this year in which there were so many natural disasters.

George Stephanopolous: "Do you think everyone should just be responsible for themselves and if a flood washes your house away no FEMA?" the viewer asked via email. "Sink or swim?"

Ron Paul: "I think that's the way a free society works and that's what the Constitution mandates. I'm on the Gulf Coast, I have a house on the beach or had one recently, and I don't think that somebody in New York or New Hampshire or Iowa has to pay for my flood on the Gulf Coast...Insurance is an old fashioned way of doing it. Buy insurance. If the insurance won't sell it to you, it means it's too dangerous. If it's too dangerous, why dump the responsibility on the taxpayer? You know it doesn't make economic sense, it doesn't make good moral sense, it doesn't make Constitutional sense."

1. You know what I say? If Ron Paul's the one to interpret the Constitution, fuck it and him.

I know, I know. The Constitution mentions something about promoting "the general welfare"? I'm sure that Ron Paul and his rich benefactors interpret that as meaning it's the government's job to create and support a business environment favorable to the rich.

You see, constitutional "scholars" like Ron Paul are only too happy to go to faith-based colleges like the ones we found out the Kochs control, and they study JUST ENOUGH to find out they and the rich shouldn't pay taxes, we should bring back slavery (aka no minimum wage or other labor protections) and everything should be to benefit the rich! That's what the constitution says and that's what we "must" do!

These guys are such fucking bastards. Thank you, Mike Malloy for unleashing my anger on these BASTARDS.

But don't worry about Ron Paul. In spite of the libertarians claiming otherwise, he's a loyal Republican and last time out they didn't even give him 3% in any state's primary.

Let the Republicans reject him. He will NOT be the Republican candidate.
