1. Love you Stevie! Happy Birthday!
Thanks for the soundtrack to my youth!

I always hope he wouldn't be offended if he could see me listening to his music... I can't help myself... I sway and smile just like he does... feels so good.

5. That's the absolute truth
Edited on Fri May-13-11 06:50 PM by malaise
Stevie was in so many critical moments of my life. My mom fell in love with Stevie when her first grandson telephoned for mothers day and sang I Just Called to Say I Love You

The night before my orals, I kept calm playing Tomorrow Robins will Sing :D

Stevie is part of our family. That's what friends are for

10. You gave me chills, malaise!
He's one of God's best works. I loved that he performed at the White House... and he made the Prez and the First Lady groove;)

Boogie on Reggae Woman... Yesterme, Yesteryou, Yesterday... My Cherie Amour... Superstition! Oh man... a life of memories.

Living for the City! Oh man... they just flood back...

4. Happy Birthday to Ya........

We all know sometimes lifes hates and troubles
Can make you wish you were born in another time and space
But you can bet you life times that and twice its double
That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed
so make sure when you say you're in it but not of it
You're not helping to make this earth a place sometimes called Hell
Change your words into truths and then change that truth into love
And maybe our children's grandchildren
And their great-great grandchildren will tell

11. LITTLE Steve Wonder, Fingertips Part 2
I was only a year older than Stevie. It blew me away then. Hey, Steve we are BOTH Seniors now. Where did all those years go? Happy B-Day to you. Wishing both of us many more.

16. I had tickets for The Stones in 1972. Stevie Wonder was the opening act. . .
I'm not a big Stones fan, and knew Wonder then as "Little Stevie Wonder." I hoped the evening would be nice (my date was beautiful), but figured it would be musically passable at best, a bust at worst.

It was the Talking Book tour. Suddenly, a somewhat annoying child star had matured in ways I'd thought unimaginable. To this day, it remains one of musical highlights of my life.

22. My dad shared a limo with Stevie in Japan in the 70's. We kids thought it
was so cool till Dad said "Oh, and I told Stevie how my kids wanted to be in his band..." He went on to explain to Stevie that we wanted to be the ones who stomp on his foot to make Stevie make those shouts and high notes. Poor Dad didn't understand we had been KIDDING!!

Love ya Stevie, Happy Birthday!
