1. From 1998!
Edited on Wed May-11-11 02:26 PM by Octafish
Pakistan has refused USA request for expelling bin Laden.

If it were possible, that news puts things in an even more sinister light.

Thank you for the heads-up, bobthedrummer! KBR the NSA at GWU should be SOP.

3. Remember the Barlow Memorandum?
Richard Barlow outlined how Poppy Bush misled Congress, re: Pakistan and The Bomb.

It's like a Bush family tradition, misleading Congress. Wonder how Barlow's doing these days?

PS: Good to see you, Bob! It's been nuts: Work. Family. Ha ha.

4. Empires come and go-the BFEE is still around. Btw, remember Rumsfeld's pet policy
The Revolution in Military Affairs/RMA???

"...a major change in the nature of warfare brought about by the innovative application of new technologies which, combined with dramatic changes in military doctrine and operational and organizational concepts, fundamentally alters the character and conduct of military operations."

A kill op of the world's most wanted terrorist living in the heart of Pakistan's military/intell center with burial at sea-sounds like RMA spinoffs to this civilian.

Source Watch Revolution in Military Affairs page

I think that RMA is a concrete example of why the BFEE's SOTU message "money trumps peace" is so prevalent as everyone can be put on a list of possible "enemy" targets.

That's why GWB et. al. didn't focus on "getting" OBL in his self-proclaimed "Global War On Terror" imo.

5. Ultimate Inside Traders
It's not just Carlyle: It's the Merger of Wall Street and the Military-Industrial Complex -- from contracts to Jack Abramoff and Duke Cunningham's chums, to the way The Fed doled out the secret bailout trillions.
