3. The pukes want to set him up as mr. popularity for the Latino voter
If he was slightly less lame he might get a good percentage.

We need to pass immigration reform.

9. and he tries to fly under the radar.
Pretty successful at it, too. He plays it safe so he won't trip himself up too much. Ran his campaign the same way.

6. Not much to them once the layers are peeled back
they are woefully inadequate when questions start getting asked. The depth of knowledge of complicated issues is dangereous.

7. I hate to say it, but I was fairly impressed by him as a politician today
Edited on Sun May-01-11 01:49 PM by Armstead
Yes he's a wingnut and his positions are basically full of shit.

But I think he is a great representative of the wingnuts. I think he is sincerely motivated (though wrong headed) and make good, passionate arguments for his positions.

Watching him was less teeth-gratingly- painful than most wingnuts.

I wish we had more people on our side who were able and willing to advocate for the liberal/progressive position as well.

10. I do think that's the problem
America's problem. Junior and Rubioare indicitive of America accepting that being mediocre is acceptable. At times they sound reasonable but then you realize that they have done this their whole lives, when you really start examining them their supposed successes aren't so much what they appear to be.

You are right we do need more House and Senate liberal/progessive folks and the only way to do that is get them to run and defeat Repubs and Blue Dems.
