Question submitted by mjohnson
Back in 2004 when I was 23 and first introduced to this site, after getting comfortable with posting I started joking around a bit TOO much making parody threads of other hot threads and doing other types of disruptive behavior which was not tolerated by the DU community.

I ended up getting banned sometime in 2005 and from then on just resigned myself to lurking and reading threads. I was dumb then for posting stupid things and I sincerely apologize to the community for it. It has been a bummer to sit and read threads and not participate.

Now that I'm older and just slightly wiser, I would appreciate it if I could rejoin DU under this new account that I just made and have my old user account and the content from my old posts from 2004 deleted. Googling my email address brings up a bunch of DU threads and while many of them contain serious discussion, there are also a good number of old stupid posts, and I hate the idea that while I'm debating current events with friends, family, and sometimes complete strangers on Facebook a quick google search of my associated email address brings up all sorts of old garbage that is not even serious.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider my request, I can private message whoever needs it my old user account name.

Thanks!
Mike
