Why was my post removed
Edited on Fri Nov-11-11 10:29 AM by Vanje
Did I technically break a rule?

Another poster in this thread trolls continually while not "technically" breaking a rule.

DU allows (rhymes with "cant eye spay spigots") to obviously troll GLBT as long as he stays "technically" within the rules.

In DUs GLBT forum, who gets silenced?
The spigot? Apparently not.

Thats (rhymes with plucked)!

On Edit: Oh Yeah. Heres that lovely thread:

1. No, you didn't "technically" break a rule.
You "obviously" and "deliberately" broke a rule. But you know that already.

BTW, you may or may not be interested to know:

- That "lovely thread" started on Friday, November 4.
- On that same day, one hour later, a person posted a message in that thread that caused it to go off the rails.
- The first and only alert sent on that post was sent five days later, Wed Nov-09-11 10:21 AM.
- The post was deleted by the moderators less than 20 minutes later, Wed Nov-09-11 10:40 AM.
- The member was blocked from the GLBT forum later that day, when I checked my email and saw that the moderators had sent me a request to do so.

I know that the system doesn't always work perfectly. But it really does help to send alerts.

I'm unable to tend DU for hours a day.
In one of my brief check-ins, I saw the thread,as it was at the time of my comment, apparently already fully moderated, .....and even after DU's stringent moderation, I was treated to seeing an obvious troll working the whole thread.
The trolling was skillful.
In another ATA thread , an admin said that the troller technically broke no rules.

Thats great. He trolls and stinks up GLBT, and his posts remain.
.

You are apparently still utterly clueless about why so very many of DUs GLBT peeps are disappointed in DU. I'm sorry for that. Keep deleting messages from the angry gays, and maybe your problem will go away.
