We haven't made an official decision yet, so we've instructed the modes to leave those threads alone. We have, in the past, permitted members to support third-party candidates when it appears they have the best chance to defeat the conservative alternative. Bernie Sanders is the obvious example. The reason why we normally expect our members to support Democrats is not because we love the Blue Team. It's because the Democrat is usually the candidate with the best chance of defeating the conservative alternative.
I am no fan of Crist, but he might end up being the only person who can stop Rubio. I would feel a little more comfortable if he promised to caucus with the Dems, but for political reasons I doubt he would admit it even if he knew that's what he was going to do. The fact that Rep. Wexler has endorsed him does suggest that some sort of deal has been made. But we obviously don't know.
We are going to keep an eye on the race, and decide what it means for DU.
