Who in the Senate will introduce a bill for the "draft" in January?
Will it be us, GOP or an IND?

1. Why in the world would anyone in Congress want to impose a draft?
Not much more politically toxic than that.

3. Nobody likes the draft.
Not the politicians, not the military, and least of all the public.

The draft is not coming back any time soon.

6. Sorry, average deaths per year, we could fight in Afghanistan for HALF A MILLENIUM --
before we reached our Vietnam death toll. (And of course, back then, there were 200 million Americans, rather than 300 million.)

In such a case, a draft is unnecessary, un-called-for, and totally at odds with reality as we understand it.
