In a capitalistic society it is imparative and moral to have a progressive income tax.
The reason why is that those who make and have the most have the most to loose if things go wrong.

Capitalism isn't moral by itself. Everyone talks about how in carefully controlled circumstances capitalism is great.

The same could be said of poison. Do we want poison as a basis for our economy?

4. I agree with the thesis, but not the reasoning.
I think those who benefit most from this society ought to bear the greatest share of the cost of maintaining it.

Sales tax, for example, is regressive.
