Remember when Obama made the joke about predator drones at the white house press corp dinner?

It was a joke and in reference to future boyfriends of his daughters. Still, I thought it a strange joke. If we listen, people reveal themselves..even in jokes. Upon hearing that comment, I thought he's just been sold on how wonderful and effective predator drones are. Every time I hear about a new strike I think of that joke.

5. No, it wasn't the same type of joke.

Joking about his daughters, and future boyfriends, and even daring to mention a particular weapon is not the same as joking about what one used as a consistent lying ruse in mounting a trillion dollar war for years.

You can feign that it is the same thing, if it helps you equate Obama to Bush, and therefore provides a bit of a thrill to you and those usual suspect rushing in to agree with your apples to orange comparison just because they can.

I took it that he was a "gamer" in his night hours. Playing "War Craft" or some such and got his jollies off it.

It bothered me at the time because many civilians had been killed by drones around that time. He doesn't have to be a Quaker, but I'd like him to avoid making such a joke. I'm an Obama supporter and enjoy non-pc humor but I think that's over the line considering the history of the US in the third world.
