Well we have a list up with the things done for us gays. We also have a list of the examination of the list.

First, posting a list a day after the end of DADT is almost gay bashing. LOOK! Look at what he has done for you! All that is missing is the "you ingrates!".

We do not need a list of what Obama has done for us, NOR do we need a list of what he has not.

His getting DADT gone is his work. Will he come around on the BIG item? who knows, and at this point, who cares, because we are now in election mode. So can we get a grip on both sides of the fence?

It is a stone cold FACT that he will have some moron that hates the gays give a speech. It is a stone cold FACT that he will skirt the BIG issue for gays.

But he is stuck with us, and us with him. But the sticking is not so bad now.

So can you cut the shit with the "you ingrates" type posts? Also, can we stop with the responses?

As many know, I am no real big fan of the guy. He's getting my vote no matter what though.

I will end on that as before I go on about his re-election chances.

1. Why do you think "the list" was aimed only at the gay members of DU?

I'm straight, support gay rights, and I was unaware of some of the things on that list. As such, it was informative.

What I find odd are the posts which want to reduce or diminish items on it. Not all items on that list are as big as DADT, but they all seem like movement in the right direction.

Why is that a bad thing?

DADT finally ends, and the administration creates a nice pic of its efforts on gay rights. I doubt that they thought only gay Americans would care about that list.

In fact, I suspect that they know that right winger will scream bloody murder, over DADT, and over items on that list.

Its all good stuff if you support gay rights.
