I am sick of Ralph Nader threads! Please just let him go away on DU.
In the recent painful past Mr. Nader ran on a third party platform not a Democratic Party Candidate. That he wants to now find no less than six candidates to run against Obama in the Democratic Party (which he is not a part of the Party) sounds to me as the height of megalomaniac arrogance. Nader's entire approach has turned into promotion of opposition in the Democratic Party to do what make third party candidates viable. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY OF THE REPUBLICAN FIELD ANYWHERE NEAR THE WHITEHOUSE! With this threat I could care less about third Party candidates promoting any agenda.

To me Ralph Nader has all of relevance of his new best friend Sarah Palin so far the biggest attention whore in the 21st Century. Obama has had his problems I like his new tone on taxes. If someone wants to fix the political system do it on another election cycle not now when we face Republican Radicals who border on resurgent fascism.

PLEASE JUST LET NADER GO AWAY!

1. Agreed
And who is paying him to do this? If he was really pro consumer - he'd give blood, sweat, and tears to Elizabeth Warren's campaign. She will be far more effective than his screwy Louie plan.

2. Ralph Nader is Sarah Palin.
A useless, self-aggrandizing tool who doesn't know it's past time to slink away.

11. You are right as much as I despise Palin I read her threads same for Nader.
The problem is I am just too belligerent (a problem from childhood) to ignore a problem. Last I heard this is a Democratic website and it is my understanding Nader is not a Democrat so he is fair game.

5. If he wants to run in the Democratic primary, more power to him.
That's much more responsible than running as a third-party spoiler, maybe Nader's growing up and becoming more pragmatic in his age.

A healthy internal debate never hurt anyone, reminds candidates about the issues the base cares about.

Of course, he'll probably only garner less than 10% of the votes -- really, unless the economy really deteriorates much further, Obama is a shoo-in.

Nader is no threat, its silly to think he is.

10. If he would run himself as a Democrat fine that is not what he wants.
He wants Democrats to revert to the old circular firing squad so he can promote viable third party efforts. Let us find out if this ass is able to tempt a Democrat. Just what the Democratic Party needs a waste of resources. The monstrosities running on the republican side are not hypothetical. Sarah Palin makes one anti corporate statement an she is now praised by Nader. Nader's interest is not the Democratic Party or even debate.

12. The way Nader gets his $$$ is to be a $h!t stirrer:
Nader plays a very poor Devils Advocate. Fortunately, we only have to listen to his drivel once every 4 years (just like clockwork). About as annoying as GingRICH.

any post which points that out has my unqualified support. As far as "trying to control DU", for fuck's sake, is this your first day with the new synapses; or are you simply incapable of recognizing a rhetorical statement when confronted with one?

21. I'm all for a "let it sink" policy where Nader is concerned.
He's become nothing more than a shit-disturbing troll who's now the GOP's shiny new toy thanks to the damage he can do to Dem's chances if his idiot plan comes to fruition.
