Can Obama get his mojo back?
Obama should take off the gloves in the 2012 campaign and come out fighting. That's what people want to see. I respected him for his civility in 2008 and I know a lot of others did, as well. But now, I think people want to see him fight. I know I do.

12. 2008 to early 2009
He had some serious mojo.

When he was inaugurated, he had over 65% approval rating.

15. i understand that...
But it seems to have been a false Mojo, an election Mojo that he refused, for what ever reason, to take full advantage of...

2. Oh sure... Just what we need "angry black man" bs to headline the newspapers.
I can just see the BS reverse racism crap start from that shit, and t will come from the mouthpiece of Cain and Steale and that cross-eyed fool on MSNBC. There is a reason that the republicans have a token black republican candidate and a dingbat woman (possibly 2 women) running for President. It's the only way that the party deflects the racist, sexist card while allowing the white, old men to get away with their bells and whistles.

3. yeah he should be a servile and docile so some white people won't bad mouth him lol get a grip
people respect someone who stands up for himself. and the people to whom you refer are not going to like him or vote for him anyway so why not act like you value your own beliefs enough to fight for them.

5. Stop thinking of him as a 'black president'!
Don't hobble Obama because of his race! He wouldn't even want that. And stop cowering at the thought of what Fox News would say. They're gonna say it anyway. People admire strength and they love a good fight. Anyone who would dismiss him as an "angry black man" isn't gonna vote for him anyway. He's got so much more to gain than lose by sticking up for what the people of this country need. It's long past time to get those shackles off of him!

10. My idea of how I view President Obama and reality are opposite areas.
It's one thing to take a stand and get passionate... Getting angry and and calling names is juvenile.

4. His ratings are higher than anyone else's right now
by a long shot. So I guess the question is: can anyone else get their mojo working in 2012?

And I'm so tired of hearing the "take the gloves off" meme. It's so pointless and, well, "male." If you're looking for drop kicks and half nelsons, I'm sure there's some fun wrestling on tv somewhere.

13. I'm talking about him speaking with inspiration and passion.
Not about drop kicks and half nelsons. He has the ability to inspire. He needs to find his voice again and rise up and inspire as he did before.

19. The last time the US wished for someone like that, we got Reagan
...and the last time they wished for that in Libya, they got Gadhafi. In Germany they wished for someone to rise up and inspire...well, no need to go on.

I suppose it may sound dull, but I would happily settle for someone to just do the job well. Given the divided congress we have, Obama has done very well.

Here's one list: http://planetpov.com/2011/02/13/a-short-list-of-pres-obamas-accomplishments/

29. Obama has done an exceptional job.
I'm only speculating about what might be the best tactics for re-election. Is the relentless hammering from the Republicans hurting his chances or helping them? I don't know. His brilliant speechifying unquestionably brought out significant numbers of first time and infrequent voters in 2008. Is he going to do it again? I'm suggesting he use his powerful ability to assert his ideals in an inspirational way. That is all. Your link to Reagan, Hitler, and Gadhafi is puzzling in this context .

17. I'd rather have good government than a cult leader
...and I believe, with 18 months of steady economic growth and steady progress on a sound social agenda, in spite of everything, we have had good government.

OH... OHHH... he's pausing, he's turning his head (slight up turn)... OH! He's looking to the future! The future!! I can see it - it has a gossamer glow! *takes glasses off and wipes away the tears* Wait I think he was saying... he agreed to what? He's going to sign a bill that cuts/extends/caves on what? Wha?

If you feel misled that's fine but there's no reason to ridicule those who don't share your opinion (like the 80% of liberals who approve of him).
